TAKING GLOBAL TO THE NEXT LEVEL

A client of mine has recently been engaged to set up a new business in the US. He is located in Australia and will need to assemble a team of around 30 people to deliver the project. Given the continuing situation with COVID, he will create the team and run the project remotely.

In the past, the focus would have been to form a team with a majority of local hires. Now he will be hiring people from around the world in numerous times zones as that local need has become irrelevant.

For me, this highlights some of the further shifts towards an even more global world and the ways in which we work which have been upended by the COVID pandemic.
