TRUST AND COVID 19

The covid pandemic brought many changes particularly in regard to work.

Across the globe people were suddenly no longer permitted in offices and working from home became the norm. At some level, trust of employees to complete work and tasks was forced upon management.

This unintended consequence is no doubt a positive aspect of the pandemic. However, it did make me think about the adaptation that countries who value that face to face presence, would have had to make. To a large extent, it would have caused some discomfort but my hope is that it also provided an opportunity for a change that has potential to impact these countries and cultures in a positive way.

A unexpected benefit has been the rapid availability of high speed internet access in many developing countries.
