DESIGNING FLEXIBLE WORK POLICIES

I was speaking with the head of a global Chemical company as part of a brief I was working on and we were discussing the roll out of the organisation’s work from home policy.

The client acknowledged that when considering how to do this across a global workforce, it was important to ensure that a diverse approach rather than a nation centric one was taken. While for some of us working from home may be relatively straight forward, for others in different countries there are many other considerations that need to be made.

Some examples here would include;

  • Access to high quality internet services,
  • family members also sharing the space,
  • the density and noise of the location.

It was refreshing and admirable to see a leader having foresight and consideration for their workforce.

I encourage you to do the same!!
