I was recently in a presentation on the relevance of stories in sustaining culture. It drew my attention to the Indigenous culture in Australia, which dates back roughly 60,000 years and how it has survived this long .
This is mainly as a result of the passing down of stories that are interlinked with the culture and beliefs. Stories are an accessible way for the human mind to connect with facts and emotion that can then be transmitted.
