Chip Conley, founder of the Modern Elder Academy, says “The meaning of life is to find your gift and the purpose of life is to give away”. Kierkegaard, the Danish philosopher, describes purpose as ‘an idea for which I am willing to live and die for’. For some people, their purpose is a big one like climate change or ending poverty and for others it’s smaller ones like, growing a nice garden or bringing joy into everyday interactions.
