DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN ORGANISATIONS

 

We recently conducted some focus group exploring the levels of diversity and inclusion within an organisation. When participants were asked to give a rating on D&I separately, diversity was consistently rated higher than inclusion.
Wonder why? I think it is because diversity is a given – it’s all around us where as inclusion is a feeling – it’s a sense of belonging, being accepted and the team behaviours associated with that.
