It was reported recently in Australia that burnout is becoming more and more frequent.
Burn out can be described as “ a special type of work-related stress — a state of physical or emotional exhaustion that also involves a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of personal identity.”
New research indicates up to 30% of people experience burnout at some point in their life. With burnout becoming an increasing workplace challenge, it is worth considering what you can do to minimise it. Having routine self-care practices such as: speaking about your experiences with a trusted person, practicing mindfulness, daily exercise and meditation are all useful ways to assist in managing stress.
