KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER PROCESS

It’s been 12 years since I was last engaged by a client to prepare their teams for knowledge transfer of business processes overseas. In a recent short burst, there have been 2 requests for this work. Both organisations are doing so due to a lack of skill in Australia and to reduce capital expenditure on upgrading their IT infrastructure.

It is interesting to observe the resurgence of offshoring and it raises important questions for organisations in terms of risk mitigation, process preparedness and of course cross-cultural effectiveness.
