Everywhere I go, I am noticing many signs advertising for staff. It seems that this shortage of staff is across many industries and fields.
An overlooked resource for employment is individuals aged over 50. Unfortunately, there are many myths and stereotypes about people in this age bracket and at the same time, there is lots of data that counteracts that.
Businesses need to start adopting a longevity plan that considers how to attract, recruit and retain people in this cohort. In doing so, it provides a sustainable approach to the needs of the business and that of older workers.
